Teams that rely heavily on Genie, routines, skills, or the MCP server can use up their plan's monthly AI credit allowance before the billing cycle resets. A top-up lets admins purchase extra credits in fixed increments on top of the plan allowance, billed separately, so AI features stay available for the rest of the month.
- Go to Settings > Billing in your Databox account.
- Locate the AI credit top-up card.
- Click Manage credits to open the Extra AI credits panel.
- Drag the slider to select how many extra credits you want to add per month.
- Review the order summary and the amount due today, check the confirmation box, then click Confirm.
- Go to Settings > Billing in your Databox account.
- In the AI credit top-up card, click Manage credits.
- Move the slider to the new quantity, or all the way down to remove the top-up.
- Review the updated order summary, check the confirmation box, then click Confirm.
Changes apply to future billing cycles — credits already purchased for the current cycle are not refunded.

Does a top-up affect my subscription plan?
No. A top-up is billed separately from your plan subscription and doesn't change your plan's features or price.
