# Choose a subscription plan

Choosing the right Databox plan and billing cycle helps ensure that your analytics setup aligns with your team's needs and budget. Whether you're just starting to track performance across tools or managing complex reporting workflows at scale, Databox offers flexible plans and billing options to support you. This article outlines the differences between each plan, available billing cycles, and other common subscription-related questions to help you make the best decision for your organization.

## Understanding your total Databox subscription cost

Your total Databox subscription cost is determined by a combination of the following components:

- **Base plan**: All accounts start with a base plan that includes a set of features and a predefined number of data sources.
- **Billing cycle**: This is how often you're billed — monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Longer billing cycles offer discounted pricing, which applies to your base plan, extra data sources, and any enabled add-ons.
- **Additional data sources**: If your account uses more data sources than your plan includes, you'll incur additional charges. These are prorated based on when the sources were added and recalculated at the start of each billing cycle.
- **Add-ons**: Optional features that enhance your account can be activated for an additional recurring fee. Add-ons are billed immediately upon activation and prorated according to your billing cycle.

**Calculation formula:** (base plan + (additional data sources x cost per data Source + add-ons) × billing cycle × discount

## Available subscription plans

Databox offers several subscription plans designed to support teams at different stages of their data journey. Available options include Free, Starter, Professional, Growth, and Premium plans.

Some plans are available only for specific account types. The **Free** plan is available for standard accounts, while the **Starter** plan is available for agency accounts.

For a full comparison of features, visit our [Pricing page](https://databox.com/pricing).

### Free (standard accounts)

The Free plan is designed for individuals or small teams who want to start monitoring performance in Databox without a paid subscription. It allows you to connect your data sources, build a dashboard, and track key metrics in one place so you can quickly see how your business is performing. This plan provides a simple way to begin centralizing your data and exploring Databox's reporting capabilities before scaling to more advanced plans.

### Starter (agency accounts)

The Starter plan is designed for agencies that want a simple way to begin managing and reporting on client performance in Databox. It allows agencies to connect client data sources, build dashboards, and share insights with stakeholders in a centralized workspace. This plan provides the essential tools needed to start delivering automated reporting and performance visibility for clients.

### Professional

The Professional plan is ideal if you're just getting started with tracking performance across multiple tools. It gives you access to over 120 integrations and updates your data hourly, so you're always working with fresh insights. You can build and share as many dashboards and reports as you need, set goals and alerts to stay on track, and even bring your ad creative visuals directly into your analytics. With access to up to 24 months of historical data, you'll be able to monitor trends and performance over time without worrying about limits

### Growth

The Growth plan is designed for growing companies that need deeper analysis and smarter reporting. It includes everything in the Professional plan, and builds on it with AI-powered tools that can summarize performance, identify benchmarks, and forecast future trends. You can create more dynamic reports with interactive elements, connect to SQL databases for more advanced data handling, and take full advantage of unlimited historical data — wherever your source allows. If you're scaling your team or reporting to more stakeholders, this plan gives you the intelligence and flexibility to do it efficiently.

### Premium

The Premium plan is built for organizations with complex data needs and higher demands around speed, security, and support. On top of everything included in the Growth plan, Premium includes 100 data sources out of the box and allows near real-time syncs every 15 minutes for up to five of them — ideal for fast-paced decision-making. It also offers advanced user and security management features, priority support, and personalized onboarding.

## Choose a subscription plan

You can choose or change your subscription plan from the [Settings > Plans](https://app.databox.com/settings/billing/plans) page in your Databox account.

If you're currently on a trial, click **Change Trial Plan** to explore and switch to any of the available paid plans. This allows you to experience the features of a different plan before committing.

Once your trial ends, you'll be automatically subscribed to the plan selected during your trial unless you update it before the trial period expires.

The data sources slider on the *Plans* page is for informational purposes only. It helps estimate the cost of your subscription based on your selected plan and a sample number of data sources. When you proceed to change your plan, the upcoming charge is calculated based on your actual data source usage — not the number selected with the slider.

## Select a billing cycle

Databox offers three billing cycles for all paid subscription plans:

- **Monthly**
- **Quarterly** — includes a 10% discount
- **Yearly** — includes a 20% discount

Each subscription is tied to a **billing cycle anchor date**, which determines when your next payment is due. This date is set either when you manually activate your subscription or when your trial ends — whichever comes first — *as long as a valid payment method has been added to your account.*

Here are a few examples of how billing works across different cycles:

- A **monthly** subscription with an anchor date of **September 2** will always renew on the 2nd of each month.
- A **monthly** subscription with an anchor date of **January 31** will renew on the last day of each month that most closely matches the anchor — **February 28** (or 29 in leap years), then **March 31**, **April 30**, and so on.
- A **quarterly** subscription starting on **July 1** will renew on the 1st day of each quarter: **October 1**, **January 1**, **April 1**, etc.
- A **yearly** subscription with an anchor date of **May 4** will renew annually on **May 4**.

If you're considering switching billing cycles, remember that discounts apply to longer-term commitments — and your billing anchor date stays consistent unless you make a change to your subscription.
