# Change your payment method

If you need to update how you pay for your Databox subscription, you can easily change your payment method at any time. Whether you're switching to a different account or simply replacing outdated information, this guide walks you through the steps to make the update quickly and securely.

## Available payment methods

Databox supports the following payment methods for subscriptions:

- **Credit or Debit Card:** Enter your card details to pay with a credit or debit card. You'll be redirected to a secure payment page to complete the transaction.
- **US Bank Account (ACH):**  Add your US bank account information to make payments directly from your account via ACH transfer.
- **Apple Pay**: Apple Pay can be used when accessing your Databox account through the web app on a mobile device or in Safari on macOS.


## Change your payment method

To update your payment method — whether you're replacing a credit card or switching to a different payment option — follow these steps:

1. Go to [Settings > Billing](https://app.databox.com/settings/billing) in your Databox account.
2. In the **Payment details** box (top right), click **Edit**.
3. Enter your new payment information.
4. Click **Save** to apply the changes.


No, all Databox invoices are billed in United States dollars (USD), regardless of your location.

If a payment attempt is unsuccessful, the payment provider will automatically retry the charge.

Stripe retries failed payments multiple times over a period of up to 1 month. During this time, no action is required unless you want to update your payment method.

If all retry attempts fail, data syncing will be put on hold and the subscription will be canceled if the payment issue is not resolved.

No, your payment information will not be stored by Databox. All payments are securely processed and managed by [Stripe](https://stripe.com/), our trusted payment provider.
