Guide: Using Twilio with Databox

Currently, there is not a direct Databox + Twilio integration available, but there are alternative ways to sync your Twilio data with Databox.

These alternatives utilize third-party integrations such as  Zapier, Integromat, or the Databox API.

Pro Tip: If you don't have the time or resources to set this up yourself, check out our services where we can build the custom integration for you. For additional information, feel free to connect with our team via chat.

HOW TO

How to use Zapier to sync Twilio data

Zapier is a trigger-based app, meaning you can have certain events (such as a new card being added) trigger certain actions (updating the relevant data and syncing with Databox) using Zaps. Because triggers initiate data syncs, historical data will not be available for metrics that are synced using Zapier.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use a Zap Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Twilio data with Databox using Zapier.

You can also create Zaps from scratch if a Zap Template isn’t available.

Creating Zaps from scratch for Twilio Metrics

The following Twilio Metrics can also be synced with Databox by creating a Zap from scratch:

  • New SMS
(triggered when a new SMS is sent to Twilio number)
  • New Recording
(triggered when a new recording is available)
  • New Transcription
(triggered when a new transcription is available)
  • New Call
(triggered when a new call is finished on Twilio number)
  • New Phone Number
(triggered when a new phone number is added)

How to use Integromat to sync Twilio data

Integromat is a third-party integration that allows you to sync data between apps. Integromat has a long list of native integrations along with the ability to sync custom data via the API.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use an Integromat Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Twilio data with Databox using Integromat.

If a Template isn’t available, you can sync additional Twilio with Databox using Integromat by setting it up from scratch.

Syncing additional Twilio Metrics using Integromat

The following Twilio Metrics can also be synced with Databox by setting up the connection from scratch:

  • Watch Messages
(triggered when a new message is created)
  • List Messages
(retrieves a list of all messages)
  • Watch Calls
(triggered when a new call is created)
  • List Calls
(retrieves a list of all calls)
  • Watch Recordings
(triggered when a new recording is created)
  • List Recording Transcriptions
(retrieves a list of all transcriptions available for recording)
  • Watch Transcriptions
(triggered when a new transcription is created)
  • Watch Alerts
(triggered when a new alert is issued)

Use the Databox API to sync Twilio data

If you’re comfortable using scripting languages or you have developer resources available, you can build your own custom integration and push Twilio data via the Databox API.
