Dataddo is a no-code data integration platform that enables you to extract, transform and load data from a wide variety of sources — SaaS tools, databases, cloud services — and deliver it to any destination such as a BI tool, data warehouse or application.
Connecting Dataddo to Databox gives you access to structured, row-level data from more than 350 tools directly within Databox. This allows you to blend, analyze, and report on your business data in one place while reducing manual work.
Connection
Before you begin
Before connecting Dataddo to Databox, make sure the following requirements are met:
- You have an active Dataddo account with permissions to create new destination authorizers and data flows.
- You have access to the Databox account where you want to send data. You’ll need permissions to create and manage data sources.
- Your data sources are already configured in Dataddo. Each source should successfully fetch data from the original platform or database before you set up the Databox destination.
Step 1: Create an API key in Databox
Dataddo connects to Databox through the Databox API, which requires authentication using a personal API key. This key ensures that Dataddo can securely send data to your Databox account.
To generate your API key:
- Open the Databox API Authentication page.
- Follow the steps to create an API key.
- Copy the key — you’ll need it when setting up the connection in Dataddo.

Step 2: Create an Authorizer in Dataddo
After generating your Databox API key, the next step is to allow Dataddo to access your Databox account.
- In Dataddo, go to Authorizers from the main navigation.
- Click Create Authorizer.
- In the list of destinations, search for and select Databox.
- When prompted, paste the API key you created in Step 1.
- Click Save to create the authorizer.

Step 3: Create a destination in Dataddo
With the authorizer in place, you can now configure Databox as a destination for your data.
- In Dataddo, go to Destinations from the main navigation.
- Click Create Destination.
- In the list of available destinations, search for and select Databox.
- Choose the Authorizer you created in Step 2.
- Select the Databox account where you want to send your data.
- Click Save to finalize the destination setup.

Tip: If you manage multiple Databox clients, consider naming your destination clearly (for example, Databox – ACME Inc.) to make it easy to identify later.
Step 4: Create a new flow in Dataddo
Next, create a data flow that connects your data source to Databox.
- In Dataddo, go to Flows from the main navigation.
- Click Create Flow.
- Select or create the data source that contains the metrics or records you want to send.
- Map the source fields (metrics and attributes) to the corresponding fields in the Databox destination dataset.
- Configure any transformations or filters to adjust how your data is processed before it’s sent.
- Define the sync frequency — for example, hourly, daily, or custom intervals.
- Under Destination, select the Databox destination you created in Step 3.
- Review your configuration, then save the flow.
Once the flow is active, Dataddo will start sending data to Databox according to the defined schedule.
