SendGrid is a cloud-based email delivery and marketing platform used to send transactional and marketing emails at scale. It provides detailed analytics on deliverability, engagement, and recipient behavior — including delivery rates, opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. Connecting SendGrid to Databox lets you bring those email performance metrics into your dashboards and reports alongside data from your other marketing and business tools.
If your credentials don't include full access to the data source, make sure your access level meets any permission requirements listed in the Specification section of the integration's page in the Metric Library.
Follow SendGrid's official guide to create an API key. When setting permissions, grant at least Stats read access so Databox can retrieve your email analytics data.
Keep the API key readily available, as you'll need to enter it in the next step.
To connect SendGrid to your Databox account for the first time or with new credentials, enter the API key obtained in the previous step.
If you've already established a connection, you can reuse it to add new data sources, as long as the existing credentials have the required permissions.

FAQ
What API key permissions does Databox need?
Databox requires at least Stats read access on your SendGrid API key. If you plan to use category-level reporting, ensure the key also has access to category stats. Granting broader permissions than necessary is not recommended — create a restricted key scoped only to what Databox needs.
Why are my SendGrid categories not showing up in Databox?
Categories only appear if you have applied them to your email sends in SendGrid. If you haven't assigned categories to your messages, category-level stats will be unavailable. You can add categories to future sends in SendGrid and they will start appearing in Databox once data is collected.
