# Edit a template and apply changes across Databoards

When you edit an account template, you can apply those changes to Databoards that were created using that template. This ensures consistency across all Databoards and reduces the time spent updating each one individually.

### Edit a template

To edit a template and apply changes across Databoards:

1. Go to the [Databoards > Account Templates](https://app.databox.com/databoards/account-templates) page.
2. Hover over the template you want to update and click **Edit**.
3. Make the necessary changes to the template layout, visualizations, or settings.
4. Click **Update Databoards** at the top right.
5. Select the Databoards you want to update with the new template changes.
6. Review the changes and click **Select**.
7. Confirm by clicking **Yes, update** in the confirmation dialog.

Applying template changes will overwrite the selected Databoards with the new structure and visualizations, so review the changes carefully before confirming.
