When you edit an account template, you can apply those changes to Databoards that were created using that template. This ensures consistency across all Databoards and reduces the time spent updating each one individually.
Edit a template
To edit a template and apply changes across Databoards:
- Go to the Databoards > Account Templates page.
- Hover over the template you want to update and click Edit.
- Make the necessary changes to the template layout, visualizations, or settings.
- Click Update Databoards at the top right.
- Select the Databoards you want to update with the new template changes.
- Review the changes and click Select.
- Confirm by clicking Yes, update in the confirmation dialog.
Caution: Applying template changes will overwrite the selected Databoards with the new structure and visualizations, so review the changes carefully before confirming.

Can I apply template changes to any Databoard in my account?
No, changes can only be applied to Databoards that were originally created from the template.
Can I revert template changes after they’re applied?
No, once changes are applied, they cannot be undone. If unintended changes occur, you will need to manually adjust the affected Databoard.
Will changes made to a public template affect existing Databoards?
No, changes made by the Databox team won’t affect Databoards that were previously created from these templates.
Will changes made to Databoards affect the original account template?
No, any edits made to individual Databoards will only apply to those specific Databoards. To edit the original account template, you must edit it directly.
