Cleaning up outdated or unused templates helps keep your workspace organized, reduces clutter, and makes it easier for team members to find and use the right templates. It also ensures your team consistently follows approved reporting formats, avoids confusion from duplicate or outdated layouts, and maintains a higher level of data accuracy and professionalism in shared Databoards and reports.
You can only delete account templates. Public templates are shared across all Databox accounts and cannot be modified or removed.
To delete an account template:
- Go to the Account Templates section on the Databoards or Reports page.
- Hover over the template you want to delete.
- Click the three-dot menu (
) and select Delete.
- To delete multiple templates at once, click the checkbox at the top left to select them, then click the down arrow (
) at the top of the screen and choose Delete.

Can I recover a deleted template?
No, there's no undo option for deletions. If you deleted a template by mistake, you'll need to recreate it from scratch.
How can I clean up unused templates without deleting them?
You can rename them to move them to the bottom of the list (e.g., “ZZZ – Old Template”) or prefix with “ARCHIVED –” for clarity.
Will deleting a template affect any Databoards or Reports I already created from it?
No, those remain intact. Only the template itself is removed from your account.
