Access to up-to-date information is essential for accurate analysis and decision-making. Real-time metrics help teams stay informed, but outdated data can lead to inefficiencies and errors. On-demand refreshes ensure accuracy, allowing teams to validate updates and troubleshoot issues instantly.
Refresh your data
In Databox, data syncs automatically at regular intervals, even when you're logged out or away, based on your subscription plan.
However, if you need the latest data before an important meeting or want to see real-time updates, you can manually refresh data at either the Databoard or dataset level. Please note the following limits for manual refreshes:
- Databoard: 1 refresh per user per day (applies to all Databoards)
- Dataset: 3 refreshes per user per day (applies all datasets)
Refresh a Databoard
A Databoard refresh can be initiated from several locations:
- While viewing it via a link (when logged in)
- While editing the Databoard
- While previewing the Databoard
- While viewing it within a report
To trigger the sync, click the Refresh button in the bottom-right corner of the Databoard.
You can also refresh directly from the Databoards page:
- Select List view in the top-right control
- Locate the Databoard in the list
- Click Refresh under the Last update column
Refresh a dataset
Datasets can also be refreshed from multiple locations:
- On the Data Manager > Data Sources and Data Manager > Datasets pages, in the Status column.
- While viewing a dataset, just above the table.
- While creating a metric in the metric builder tool, above the data preview table.
