Overview: Using AI-powered Performance Summaries on the Performance Screen

Databox’s Generative AI functionality provides you with comprehensive performance summaries along with tailored recommendations on how to improve performance. In this article, we will dig deeper into how you can access and use these performance summaries on the Performance screen to make efficient data-driven decisions.

When you log in to your account, the Performance Screen opens. The Generative AI Performance Summary will be on the top of the Performance Screen. Click on the drop-down arrow to view the full Performance Summary.

You need to add at least 3 Metrics on the Performance Screen for the Performance Summary to be generated. Learn how to add the Metrics to the Performance Screen here

How to access Performance Summaries of Metrics and Goals on the Performance Screen

When you log in to your account, the Performance Screen opens. Navigate to the Performance Overview section. Hover over a Metric or a Goal you want to view the Performance Summary of, and click the Performance Indicator. This will open the Performance Summary of that specific Metric or Goal.

How to change the Date Range of the Performance Summary on the Performance Screen

Navigate to the top right-hand side of the Performance Summary and click on the drop-down arrow to select the Date Range that you would like to see the Performance Summary for. You can select the periods of Last 7 daysLast week and Month to Date.

How to use the Performance Summary on the Performance Screen

Pro Tip: The Performance Summary will be generated once a day between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. in your timezone. It is automatically updated 10 minutes after a Metric or Goal has been added or removed on the Performance Screen.

  • A) Performance Indicator:
The Performance Indicator will change colors depending on your performance:
    • Green indicator: Significant progress and success.

      5% or higher positive percentage change in comparison to previous period

    • Orange Indicator: Stable with minor fluctuations.

      Percentage change between 4% negative and 4% positive in comparison to previous period

    • Red Indicator: Performance decline, corrective action needed.
      5% or higher negative percentage change in comparison to previous period
    • Blue Indicator: Performance evaluation unavailable.
      There is not enough data in the previous period to compare or there is an error with data.
  • B) Data SummaryData summary offers a concise performance overview for the selected period compared to the previous period for up to 5 top metrics from the Performance overview section. This makes it easier to understand how you’re doing and make more informed decisions.

Pro Tip: If there are less than 5 metrics on the Performance Screen, all metrics are included.

  • C) Data Insights: You can use Data insights to quickly spot daily or weekly changes in your most important metrics and KPIs. There are 3 boxes that show Data Insights:
    • Metric with the highest Average value
    • Metric with the highest Positive change
    • Metric with the highest Negative change
  • D) Recommendations: You will get three general suggestions on how to improve the performance of your Metrics. 
  • E) Date RangeClick on the drop-down arrow to select the Date Range that you would like to see the Performance Summary for. You can select the periods of Last 7 days, Last week and Month to Date.
  • F) Disclaimer:The Disclaimer icon will appear if there might be a data discrepancy in the Performance Summary due to different time zones. To resolve this and get the latest data, you should click on the Reload icon to reload the Performance Summary. 
  • G) ReloadClick on the Reload icon to reload the Performance Summary.

Additional Information

  • There is a daily limit of 20 Performance Summaries per user and a limit of 200 Performance Summaries per account. If you have reached your daily limit of AI-powered Performance Summaries, then you will need to wait until the next day to generate additional Performance Summaries.  Please contact our Support Team via chat if you need additional assistance.
    • The daily limit restarts at 12 AM (UTC time zone). For example, if you hit the daily limit at 7 PM, you can try again after midnight (UTC time zone) when the date changes. 
  • For paid accounts, there is a monthly limit of 1000 Performance Summaries per account. For accounts on trial, there is a monthly limit of 600 Performance Summaries per account.
    • If you have reached your monthly limit of AI-powered Performance Summaries, then you will need to wait until the next month to generate additional Performance Summaries. Please contact our Support Team via chat if you need additional assistance.
