The
Pipeline visualization offers a clear, linear display of data across multiple stages, ideal for tracking step-by-step progress and conversion rates within a defined process. Each stage can be assigned a metric or dimension, allowing for detailed analysis of progression through a sequence, such as a sales funnel or project workflow. This visualization is valuable for visualizing stages with a directional flow, providing an overview of where drop-offs occur and highlighting opportunities for improvement.

Features

The following features highlight the key functionalities of the Pipeline visualization:

  • Display up to 15 stages, each representing a metric or dimension, with an optional 16th "Other" stage to group remaining values.
  • Dimensions within a single stage of a dimensional metric can be stacked and color-coded for easy differentiation.
  • Stage names can be customized.
  • Comparisons are configured individually for each stage.
  • Stages can be sorted by value, metric or dimension name, change value, or manually rearranged in a custom order.
  • Conversion rates can be calculated either stage-by-stage or relative to the first stage.
  • Option to hide conversion rates if desired.
  • The chart legend can be hidden to maximize display area.

Considerations

  • Customization of pipeline and stage colors is not supported in this visualization.

Use Cases

The Pipeline visualization is well-suited for use cases that involve tracking progress or conversion across a set of ordered steps, such as:

  • Sales Funnel Analysis: Track each stage of the sales process to identify bottlenecks and optimize conversion rates.
  • Customer Journey: Visualize each touchpoint in the customer journey to understand drop-off points and enhance engagement.
  • Project Stages: Monitor the progress of tasks through phases, ensuring timely completion and identifying delays.
  • Recruitment Funnel: Track job applicants through stages in the hiring process to improve recruitment efficiency.
