- Google Analytics 4 is the recommended replacement. Due to the differences in tracking logic used in Universal Analytics vs Google Analytics 4, historical data will not transfer from one to the other.
- Because of this, it's important to get Google Analytics 4 set up as soon as possible in order to start accumulating data in this new system.

Basic Metrics to report on Website Pages
There are a variety of Basic Google Universal Analytics Metrics available in Databox to report on Website Pages.
To view these Metrics in Databox, navigate to Metrics > Metrics Library and select Google Universal Analytics from the Data Source drop-down. Enter "Page" in the Search bar to view all available Metrics.
Add any significant Metrics to your Metrics screen by hovering over the logo in the top right of the Metric block and clicking + Add to my Metrics.
Custom Metrics to report on Website Pages
Using the Metric Builder for Google Universal Analytics, you can create Custom Metrics like "Pageviews by Page," "Bounce Rate by Page Title," and more.
Navigate to Metrics > Custom Metrics to access the Metric Builder for Google Universal Analytics. Click the green + New Custom Metric button and select your connected Google Universal Analytics Account from the Data Source drop-down.
Choose the metric you'd like to track from the Metric drop-down. Type Page in the Dimension drop-down and select a Dimension, such as Page Title. This will split up the selected Metric based on Page Title.
Pro Tip: Filters restrict the data that gets included in the Custom Metric. If you'd like to create Custom Metrics to further analyze the performance of a specific Page, you can add a Filter, so data is only retained for the specified Page Title.

Metric Builder is available on the Professional and higher plans. Request a trial of Metric Builder by following these steps.
Navigate to Metrics > Custom Metrics to access the Metric Builder for Google Universal Analytics. Click the green + New Custom Metric button and select your connected Google Universal Analytics Account from the Data Source drop-down.
Choose the metric you'd like to track from the Metric drop-down. Type Page Path Level in the Dimension drop-down and select a Dimension, like Page Path Level 1. This will split up the select Metric based on Page Path Level 1.
Pro Tip: Filters restrict the data that gets included in the Custom Metric. If you'd like to create Custom Metrics to further analyze the performance of a specific Page Path, you can add a Filter, so data is only retained for the specified Page Path.

Type Event in the Metric drop-down to view all Event-related Metrics. Type Event in the Dimension drop-down to view all Event-related Dimensions. Selecting the Dimension Event Category will split up the selected Metric based on the Event Category.
