The navigation bar is designed to enhance user experience by offering quick access to essential features. While some controls remain permanently pinned for consistent navigation, the rest of the bar is fully customizable for each user. This flexibility allows you to tailor the navigation options to suit your specific reporting needs, making it easier to prioritize the tools and data you use most often.
Personalize the navigation bar
The navigation bar in your Databox account automatically adjusts between a collapsed or expanded version, depending on your screen resolution. As shown below, the top four controls—Switch client, Home, Metrics, and Databoards—along with the bottom two controls—Data Manager and Avatar—are always pinned, ensuring quick access to essential functions. These fixed controls cannot be unpinned.
However, the rest of the controls can be customized to suit your workflow. By hovering over the More control, you can easily pin or unpin additional pages to the navigation bar by clicking the pin icon next to the desired page. This feature gives you the flexibility to arrange the navigation bar in a way that aligns with your reporting needs, improving accessibility and efficiency.
Pin your favorite Databoards and Reports for quick access
Simplify your workflow by pinning your favorite Databoards and Reports to the navigation bar for easy access. To do this, hover over the Databoards or Reports in the navigation bar or on their pages, and click the star icon to mark them as favorites. You can also favorite them directly in the Databoard and Report editors. Once pinned, these favorites will remain in your navigation bar, allowing you to quickly access important insights with just one click.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I customize or remove templates from the navigation bar?
Templates will be displayed in the navigation bar until you create at least 3 Databoards or Reports in your account. These sections show unused templates based on the data sources you've connected. Once you've created 3 or more, the templates will no longer appear.
How many items can I add to the Favorites section in the navigation bar?
There is no limit to the number of items you can add to the Favorites section. However, the navigation bar will display up to 5 items at a time, with additional items accessible by clicking See more.
