# Review AI-powered performance summaries AI-powered performance summaries help you quickly identify trends, anomalies, and key changes in your data. Powered by OpenAI, these summaries generate plain-language insights directly inside Databox, so you can spend less time analyzing and more time acting on your data. ## Review AI-powered performance summaries The availability of a performance summary is indicated by a **gauge icon** (![performance-unavailable](/assets/performance-unavailable.3e4d0b0047412c45366b0c607c4c7d08acc3f232d55662e5cd980b0a7150dd61.419bb737.svg)) shown when hovering over certain items (e.g., a Databoard) or when viewing specific pages. Clicking the icon prompts the system to generate a summary for that item, if one doesn't already exist. Each summary is made up of up to three elements, described below. ### Performance indicator A colored box that reflects the overall trend compared to the previous period: - **Green** — More than **4%** increase - **Orange** — Between **-4% and +4%** change - **Red** — More than **4%** decrease - **Blue** — Summary not yet generated or insufficient data available ### Summary text A paragraph, limited to 800 characters, that captures key changes, emerging trends, and relevant insights drawn from the selected data. ### Recommendations A set of three AI-generated suggestions designed to help improve your performance based on the data analysis. These actionable tips target key areas identified in the summary to guide your next steps. Recommendations are omitted from summaries featuring custom metrics. performance-summary-progress performance-summary-stable performance-summary-decline ## Regenerate a performance summary You can prompt the system to generate a new summary by clicking the reload icon (![refresh](/assets/refresh.32035a809333cc644cfdf50e1bf692d0ab261e4e653633547fcec6ccfc118644.419bb737.svg)) or by adjusting the date range and any applicable filters. This action triggers a new query to the AI and updates the summary based on the latest selected data. If no manual action is taken, summaries are regenerated automatically every 6 hours. ### Summary generation limits To manage usage of the [AI service](/databox-generative-ai) (which incurs costs per query), generation limits have been set at both the user and account levels. **Daily limits:** - **800 summaries** per account - **100 summaries** per user **Monthly limits (by account type):** - **Standard accounts:** 3,000 summaries per month - **Agency accounts:** 6,000 summaries per month During the trial period, accounts are limited to 600 summaries per month. If you reach either your daily or monthly limit, you'll need to wait until the limit resets before generating more summaries. Daily limits reset at **12:00 AM UTC**. For example, if you reach your daily limit at 7 PM your time, you'll be able to generate summaries again after midnight UTC.
