HOW TO

Automate Reporting

IN THIS SECTION

Data Sources

70+ native integrations are available so you can directly connect your Data Sources in Databox. This allows for regular data syncs and near real-time dashboards. Native Data Sources include Google Analytics, HubSpot, Facebook Ads, Stripe, Teamwork, and more. Custom Data Sources like Google Sheets, MySQL, Zapier, Java, and more can also be connected to Databox.

Databoards

The dashboards that you create in Databox are called Databoards. Each Databoard is made up of individual Datablocks, which is the pairing of a Metric and a visualization type on your Databoard. There are many different Datablock visualizations available, including Line Graphs, Pie Charts, Funnels, Progress Bars, and more.

Templates

Hundreds of pre-built Databoards are available as Templates in the public Template Directory. You can instantly pull any of these Templates into your Account and it will repopulate with your own unique data. From there, you can further customize the Databoard to meet your needs.

Designer

The Designer is where you can customize your Databoards. From here, you can add, delete, edit or resize Datablocks in order to highlight the right Metrics in your reports. You can also update colors and logos to personalize the Databoard. All Databoards are optimized for desktop and mobile use.

Looped Databoards

Looped Databoards is a set of multiple Databoards looped together. This creates one centralized Shareable Link to host your full report. This Shareable Link will display the Databoards with the same Date Range options, visualizations, and data sync frequency as the Databox Account.

Scheduled Snapshot

With Scheduled Snapshots, you can share PDFs or JPGs of your Databox reports at regular times. Scheduling Snapshots is a great way to make the data a more regular part of your teams routine. They are also valuable in that they allow you to easily export Databox reports.

Scorecards

Scorecards allow you to monitor up to 10 Metrics through Daily, Weekly, or Monthly updates via email, push notification, or Slack. This is a great way to highlight key Metrics and make data analysis a regular part of your teams routine.

Goals

With Goals, you can stay up-to-date on your progress towards reaching business objectives. On your Databoards, you can set your Metrics to compare with the Goal value(s). This will constantly update to reflect your current performance vs the Goal you have set for the Metric. Depending on the Metric, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Goals can be set.

Alerts

Alerts instruct the Databox system to start automatically and proactively monitoring your data and notify you to any significant behavior. Alerts can be set to notify you when a Goal has been hit, or to let you know where there are emerging trends in your data.

Annotations

Annotations are short text notices that can be linked to your graphs for a specific point in time. This is a great way to interpret KPIs and inform end users when something noticeable has impacted the data. Alerts can be an indication of when an Annotation should be added to a Datablock.
