# Integrate Dataddo with Databox

Dataddo is a no-code data integration platform that enables you to extract, transform and load data from a wide variety of sources — SaaS tools, databases, cloud services — and deliver it to any destination such as a BI tool, data warehouse or application.

Connecting Dataddo to Databox gives you access to structured, row-level data from more than 350 tools directly within Databox. This allows you to blend, analyze, and report on your business data in one place while reducing manual work.

## Connection

### Before you begin

Before connecting Dataddo to Databox, make sure the following requirements are met:

- **You have an active Dataddo account** with [permissions](https://docs.dataddo.com/docs/user-roles) to create new destination *authorizers* and data flows.
- **You have access to the Databox account** where you want to send data. You'll need permissions to create and manage data sources.
- **Your data sources are already configured in Dataddo.** Each source should successfully fetch data from the original platform or database before you set up the Databox destination.

### Step 1: Create an API key in Databox

Dataddo connects to Databox through the Databox API, which requires authentication using a personal API key. This key ensures that Dataddo can securely send data to your Databox account.

To generate your API key:

1. Open the [Databox API Authentication](https://developers.databox.com/api/authentication) page.
2. Follow the steps to create an **API key**.
3. Copy the key — you'll need it when setting up the connection in Dataddo.

### Step 2: Create an Authorizer in Dataddo

After generating your Databox API key, the next step is to allow Dataddo to access your Databox account.

1. In **Dataddo**, go to [Authorizers](https://app.dataddo.com/authorizers) from the main navigation.
2. Click **Create Authorizer**.
3. In the list of destinations, search for and select **Databox**.
4. When prompted, paste the **API key** you created in [Step 1](#step-1-create-an-api-key-in-databox).
5. Click **Save** to create the authorizer.

### Step 3: Create a destination in Dataddo

With the authorizer in place, you can now configure Databox as a destination for your data.

1. In **Dataddo**, go to [Destinations](https://app.dataddo.com/destinations) from the main navigation.
2. Click **Create Destination**.
3. In the list of available destinations, search for and select **Databox**.
4. Choose the **Authorizer** you created in [Step 2](#step-2-create-an-authorizer-in-dataddo).
5. Select the **Databox account** where you want to send your data.
6. Click **Save** to finalize the destination setup.

If you manage multiple Databox clients, consider naming your destination clearly (for example, Databox – ACME Inc. ) to make it easy to identify later.

### Step 4: Create a new flow in Dataddo

Next, create a data flow that connects your data source to Databox.

1. In **Dataddo**, go to [Flows](https://app.dataddo.com/flows) from the main navigation.
2. Click **Create Flow**.
3. Select or create the **data source** that contains the metrics or records you want to send.
4. Map the **source fields** (metrics and attributes) to the corresponding fields in the Databox destination dataset.
5. Configure any **transformations** or **filters** to adjust how your data is processed before it's sent.
6. Define the **sync frequency** — for example, hourly, daily, or custom intervals.
7. Under **Destination**, select the Databox destination you created in [Step 3](#step-3-create-a-destination-in-dataddo).
8. Review your configuration, then save the flow.

Once the flow is active, Dataddo will start sending data to Databox according to the defined schedule.
