Guide: Using Zendesk with Databox (Third-Party Integration)

Zendesk can be connected with Databox using our custom API integrations or our third-party integrations. In this article, we’ll explain how to use a third-party integration to sync Zendesk data.

You can use third-party integrations such as Zapier, Integromat, or the Databox API to sync Zendesk data.

Pro Tip: If you don't have the time or resources to set this up yourself, check out our services, where we can build the custom integration for you. For additional information, feel free to connect with our team via chat or email us at help@databox.com.

HOW TO

How to use Zapier to sync Zendesk data

Zapier is a trigger-based app, meaning you can have certain events (such as a new card being added) trigger certain actions (updating the relevant data and syncing with Databox) using Zaps. Because triggers initiate data syncs, historical data will not be available for metrics that are synced using Zapier.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use a Zap Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Zendesk data with Databox using Zapier.

You can also create Zaps from scratch if a Zap Template isn’t available.

Creating Zaps from scratch for Zendesk Metrics

The following Zendesk Metrics can also be synced with Databox by creating a Zap from scratch:

  • New User
(triggered when a new user is created)
  • New Ticket
(triggered when a new ticket is created)
  • New Organization
(triggered when a new organization is added to your account)
  • New Group
(triggered when a new group is created)
  • New View
(triggered when a new view is created)

How to use Integromat to sync Zendesk data

Integromat is a third-party integration that allows you to sync data between apps. Integromat has a long list of native integrations along with the ability to sync custom data via the API.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use an Integromat Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Zendesk data with Databox using Integromat.

If a Template isn’t available, you can sync additional Zendesk with Databox using Integromat by setting it up from scratch.

  • Watch Users
(triggered when a new user is created)
  • Watch Organizations
(triggered when a new organization is created)

Use the Databox API to sync Zendesk data

If you’re comfortable using scripting languages, or you have developer resources available, you can build your own custom integration and push Zendesk data via the Databox API.
