Guide: Using RingCentral with Databox (Third-Party Integration)

Currently, there is not a direct Databox + RingCentral integration available, but there are alternative ways to sync your RingCentral data with Databox.

These alternatives utilize third-party integrations such as  Zapier, Integromat, or the Databox API.

Pro Tip: If you don't have the time or resources to set this up yourself, check out our services, where we can build the custom integration for you. For additional information, feel free to connect with our team via chat or email us at help@databox.com.

HOW TO

How to use Zapier to sync RingCentral data

Zapier is a trigger-based app, meaning you can have certain events (such as a new card being added) trigger certain actions (updating the relevant data and syncing with Databox) using Zaps. Because triggers initiate data syncs, historical data will not be available for metrics that are synced using Zapier.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use a Zap Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing RingCentral data with Databox using Zapier.

You can also create Zaps from scratch if a Zap Template isn’t available.

Creating Zaps from scratch for RingCentral Metrics

The following RingCentral Metrics can also be synced with Databox by creating a Zap from scratch:

  • New SMS
(triggered when a new SMS is sent or received)
  • Missed Call
(triggered when there is a new missed call)
  • New Call Recording
(triggered when a call has been recorded)
  • New Voicemail
(triggered when there is a new incoming voicemail)
  • Call Ended
(triggered when a call has been ended)

How to use Integromat to sync RingCentral data

Integromat is a third-party integration that allows you to sync data between apps. Integromat has a long list of native integrations along with the ability to sync custom data via the API.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use an Integromat Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing RingCentral data with Databox using Integromat.

If a Template isn’t available, you can sync additional RingCentral with Databox using Integromat by setting it up from scratch.

The following RingCentral Metrics can also be synced with Databox by setting up the connection from scratch:

  • Watch Calls
(triggered when there is a new incoming or outgoing call)
  • Watch Answered Call
(triggered when a new incoming call has been picked up)
  • Watch Missed Calls
(triggered when there is a new missed call)
  • List Calls
(retrieves a list of all calls)
  • List Users
(retrieves a list of all company contacts)
  • List Contacts
(retrieves a list of all contacts in account)
  • Watch Messages
(triggered when there is a new message)
  • Watch Incoming SMS Messages
(triggered when a new SMS message is received)
  • Watch Voice Messages
(triggered when a new voice message has been received)
  • Watch Faxes
(triggered when a new fax has been received)

Use the Databox API to sync RingCentral data

If you’re comfortable using scripting languages or you have developer resources available, you can build your own custom integration and push RingCentral data via the Databox API.
