# Delete a client account

Deleting a [client account](/understanding-client-accounts) in Databox can be a practical option when a client is no longer active, their data is no longer needed, or the account needs to be removed for organizational purposes. This ensures a cleaner workspace and prevents unnecessary account clutter, making it easier to manage active clients and focus on current projects.

## Delete a client account

To delete a client account in Databox:

- On the [Clients > Client Accounts](https://app.databox.com/clients/accounts) page, click the **down arrow** (![chevron-down](/assets/chevron-down.dfd0e90adc6eb576be32262463090aae7c7f5408ed7975e3795f69775e36d174.419bb737.svg)) and select **Delete**.
- On the [Account Management > Clients](https://account.databox.com/clients) page, click the **down arrow** (![chevron-down](/assets/chevron-down.dfd0e90adc6eb576be32262463090aae7c7f5408ed7975e3795f69775e36d174.419bb737.svg)) and select **Delete**.


A confirmation window will appear, prompting you to confirm the action.

Deleting a client account will disconnect all associated data sources and stop all data synchronization. This action is irreversible, and all stored data will be permanently erased from the system.
