With this new structure, agencies can earn recurring commissions on the subscriptions of their clients, transforming Databox into a profit center for their business.
How does the Reseller Program work?
Client billing and subscription management
- Agencies can now set up client accounts within Databox that are billed directly to the client, instead of the agency.
- Client accounts will have a dedicated account owner within the client company, while the agency retains full access to the client’s Databox environment.
- If needed, agencies can revert to the original setup, where client usage contributes to the agency’s account. This can be managed by contacting Databox support.
Commissions for agencies
- Agencies earn a 30% recurring commission on the subscriptions of clients they bring into the program.
- These commissions allow agencies to create a new revenue stream while enabling clients to have direct ownership over their Databox account.
Client access and control
- Agencies will manage “Client Access” settings within the Databox platform. By default, client access is disabled, meaning the agency handles all aspects of the client’s use of Databox, contributing to the agency’s subscription costs.
- When agencies enable client access, the client can use Databox independently, while still having support and guidance from the agency.
