Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any bugs or risks associated with the Beta features?

Beta features are still under development, so you might encounter limited functionality or unexpected bugs. We recommend using them for testing and exploration rather than critical workflows.

However, all Beta features are covered by the same security protocols and data protection measures as the rest of our platform, so opting into Beta & Research Program does not introduce any additional security risks to your account.

Can I opt out of the Beta program at any time, and if so, how?

Yes. You can opt out at any point by toggling off the Join the Beta & Research option in Account Management > Company.

Do I need to be on a specific plan to be eligible for the Beta program?

No, anyone can join! All plan levels, including the Free plan, are eligible to join the Beta & Research Program.

How can I provide feedback about the Beta features?

We welcome your feedback! We’ll reach out via email or in-app messages with opportunities to share your thoughts. Your input helps us refine and improve the features before final release, so it can have a direct impact on the final product.

How long will a feature typically remain in Beta?

The duration varies based on testing needs and feedback received. Some features might be in Beta for a few weeks, while others could take several months to ensure they meet quality and usability standards.

How will I be notified about updates or changes to the Beta feature?

We’ll typically notify Beta participants via email or in-app messages when significant updates or changes occur. Keep an eye on your inbox and any in-app announcements for the latest information.

Is the Beta feature available for all users, or is access limited to specific user roles?

The features in Beta & Research Program will typically be available to all users, unless they are intended for specific roles only. Once enabled via the toggle, which only account admins can do, any eligible user in your account can access the Beta features.

What are the expectations or responsibilities for participants in the Beta program?

As part of the Beta program, we’ll reach out to you with invitations to participate in research calls or surveys to help us make Databox even more valuable. We appreciate any feedback you can provide, but there are no specific obligations.

You can use Beta features as much or as little as you like and get the opportunity to shape the future of the product.

What happens after I opt into the Beta program?

Once you’ve toggled on the Join the Beta & Research option, you’ll be eligible to receive early access to Beta features as they become available and may be contacted for feedback, user interviews, or additional testing.

What happens to any data or content I create while using a Beta feature if I opt out of the program?

No data or content you created while using Beta feature will be removed if you opt-out of the program just because of opting out. However, we reserve the right to discontinue or change a feature you accessed while in Beta. By opting out of the program you simply won’t be considered as a Beta user anymore.

What kind of data will be collected while using Beta features, and how will it be used?

We track usage and feedback to understand performance, identify bugs, and guide improvements. Your data is handled according to our strict privacy policies, and we only use it to refine the features and enhance the user experience.

Will all Beta features be released to all users?

Beta features are experimental and may not always be promoted to full release. While we strive to minimize disruptions, there is a chance that a Beta feature could be removed, along with any related data or content generated during the Beta period.

Will I gain temporary access to features that are usually only available on higher-tier plans?

Generally, you’ll get early access to features that would be accessible in your plan. However, in some cases, we may make certain features available which will ultimately be accessible to higher-tier plans in the future.

Will I receive support for issues I encounter with Beta features, and if so, what type of support?

Yes! While Beta features are not yet fully supported to the same extent as our core features, our Support team and Product Managers will do their best to help you troubleshoot issues and gather valuable feedback.

Will participating in the Beta program affect my account's performance or stability?

Beta features are still in development, so there is a small risk of unexpected behaviors or performance issues. We continuously monitor and address bugs, but we recommend caution when relying on Beta features for business-critical tasks.

Will there be any changes to my billing or subscription if I participate in the Beta program?

No. Participating in the Beta & Research Program has no impact on your current subscription plan or billing.
