Guide: Using Capsule with Databox

Currently, there is not a direct Databox + Capsule integration available, but there are alternative ways to sync your Capsule data with Databox.

These alternatives utilize third-party integrations such as  Zapier, Integromat, or the Databox API.

Pro Tip: If you don't have the time or resources to set this up yourself, check out our services where we can build the custom integration for you. For additional information, feel free to connect with our team via chat.

HOW TO

How to use Zapier to sync Capsule data

Zapier is a trigger-based app, meaning you can have certain events (such as a new card being added) trigger certain actions (updating the relevant data and syncing with Databox) using Zaps. Because triggers initiate data syncs, historical data will not be available for metrics that are synced using Zapier.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use a Zap Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Capsule data with Databox using Zapier.

You can also create Zaps from scratch if a Zap Template isn’t available.

Creating Zaps from scratch for Capsule Metrics

The following Capsule Metrics can also be synced with Databox by creating a Zap from scratch:

  • New or Updated Contact
(triggered when a given action is performed on a contact)
  • New or Updated Case
(triggered when a given action is performed on a case)
  • New or Updated Opportunity
(triggered when a given action is performed on an opportunity)
  • New or Updated Task
(triggered when a given action is performed on a task)

How to use Integromat to sync Capsule data

Integromat is a third-party integration that allows you to sync data between apps. Integromat has a long list of native integrations along with the ability to sync custom data via the API.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use an Integromat Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Capsule data with Databox using Integromat.

If a Template isn’t available, you can sync additional Capsule with Databox using Integromat by setting it up from scratch.

Syncing additional Capsule Metrics using Integromat

The following Capsule Metrics can also be synced with Databox by setting up the connection from scratch:

  • Watch New Cases
(triggered when a new case is created)
  • Watch New Opportunities
(triggered when a new opportunity is created)
  • Watch New Tasks
(triggered when a new task is created)
  • Watch New Parties
(triggered when a new party is created)
  • List Cases
(retrieves a list of all cases)
  • List Custom Fields
(retrieves a list of all custom fields)
  • List Deleted Cases
(retrieves a list of all deleted cases)
  • List Deleted Opportunities
(retrieves a list of all deleted opportunities)
  • List Deleted Parties
(retrieves a list of all deleted parties)
  • List Employees
(retrieves a list of all employees)
  • List Milestones
(retrieves a list of all milestones)
  • List Opportunities
(retrieves a list of all opportunities)
  • List Parties
(retrieves a list of all parties)
  • List Tags
(retrieves a list of all tags)
  • List Task Categories
(retrieves a list of all task categories)
  • List Tracks
(retrieves a list of all tracks)

Use the Databox API to sync Capsule data

If you’re comfortable using scripting languages or you have developer resources available, you can build your own custom integration and push Capsule data via the Databox API.
