Guide: Using Freshdesk with Databox

Currently, there is not a direct Databox + Freshdesk integration available, but there are alternative ways to sync your Freshdesk data with Databox.

These alternatives utilize third-party integrations such as Zapier, Integromat, or the Databox API.

HOW TO

How to use Zapier to sync Freshdesk data

Zapier is a trigger-based app, meaning you can have certain events (such as a new card being added) trigger certain actions (updating the relevant data and syncing with Databox) using Zaps. Because triggers initiate data syncs, historical data will not be available for metrics that are synced using Zapier.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use a Zap Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Freshdesk data with Databox using Zapier. 

You can also create Zaps from scratch if a Zap Template isn’t available.

Creating Zaps from scratch for Freshdesk Metrics

The following Freshdesk Metrics can also be synced with Databox by creating a Zap from scratch: 

  • New Ticket
    (triggered when a new ticket is created)
  • New Contact
    (triggered when a new contact is created)
  • New Ticket Note
    (triggered when a new ticket note is added)

How to use Integromat to sync Freshdesk data

Integromat is a third-party integration that allows you to sync data between apps. Integromat has a long list of native integrations along with the ability to sync custom data via the API.

Whenever possible, it’s recommended that you use an Integromat Template. This will save you time and will streamline the process of syncing Freshdesk data with Databox using Integromat. 

If a Template isn’t available, you can sync additional Freshdesk with Databox using Integromat by setting it up from scratch.

The following Freshdesk Metrics can also be synced with Databox by setting up the connection from scratch:

  • Watch Events
    (triggered when a new event has occurred to a ticket)
  • Watch Tickets
    (triggered when a new ticket is created)
  • List Tickets
    (Retrieves a list of all tickets)
  • Watch Contacts
    (triggered when a new contact is created or updated)
  • List Contacts
    (retrieves a list of all contacts)
  • List Satisfaction Ratings
    (retrieves a list of all satisfaction ratings of a ticket)

Use the Databox API to sync Freshdesk data

If you’re comfortable using scripting languages or you have developer resources available, you can build your own custom integration and push Freshdesk data via the Databox API.
