  • Basic Metrics to report on Channels

There are a variety of Basic Google Analytics Metrics available in Databox to report on Channel performance. Using these Metrics you can access data to track "Organic Sessions," "Revenue by Channel," and more.

To view these Metrics in Databox, navigate to  Metrics > Metrics Library and select Google Analytics from the Data Source drop-down. Enter Channel in the Search bar to view all available Metrics.

Add any significant Metrics to your Metrics screen by hovering over the logo in the top right of the Metric block and clicking  + Add to my Metrics

When you add these Metrics to your Metrics screen, you'll be prompted to select a Dimension. This is when you can specify the Channel you want to focus on (i.e, Organic, Direct, Referral, etc.).

Custom Metrics to report on Channels

Using the Query Builder for Google Analytics, you can create Custom Metrics like "Organic Sessions," "Bounce Rate by Channel," and more.

Query Builder is available in Plus and Business Accounts. Agency Basic Accounts have access to Query Builder in the Agency Account only. Request a trial of Query Builder by following these steps.

Navigate to   Metrics > Query Builder to access the Query Builder for Google Analytics. Click the green + New Custom Metric button and select your connected Google Analytics Account from the Data Source drop-down.

This would allow you to build a Custom Metric to report on "Organic Sessions."
Click  Run query to generate a  Data Preview of the Custom Metric. Once you confirm that these are the results you're looking for, click  Save
Now you can easily create more Custom Metrics based on the Channel.
