How to report on Total Ad Spend
You may want to report on the aggregated spend from multiple Data Sources, like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
This can be accomplished using Data Calculations
Data Calculations is available on the Professional and higher plans. Request a trial of Data Calculations by following these steps.
To start, identify the Metric from each Data Source that's tracking your spend. For Google Ads, this Metric is called "Cost." For Facebook Ads, this Metric is called "Amount Spent." For LinkedIn Ads, this Metric is called "Total Spent."
You can identify the appropriate ad spend Metrics for your Data Sources using the Metrics page.
Using Data Calculations, create a new Calculated Metric that adds these all together. Be sure to select the "Unit" to ensure your Metrics are summed together to produce 1 aggregated value.
Pro Tip: If the "Unit" selection is not consistent for all Metrics, they will not be added together. As a result, your Calculated Metric will have different aggregated values stored for each Unit.
