How to connect Facebook Pages to Databox

To connect a Facebook Pages Account in Databox, go to  Data Sources > + New connection. Type Facebook Pages in the search bar and click on the green Connect button.

This will open the  Authorization window, which is where you will be prompted to enter your Facebook Pages login credentials and authorize the Databox app.

Pro Tip: If you have access to multiple Facebook Accounts, it's recommended that you log out of your Facebook Account before connecting in Databox. This will ensure the Facebook Account you're automatically logged into does not override the connection process.

How much historical data is synced when you first connect Facebook Pages to Databox?

When you connect a new Facebook Pages Data Source in Databox, the most recent 500 Posts are initially synced. Three years worth of historical data is initially synced for other Facebook Pages Metrics.

Certain Metrics may have more or less historical data available. For more information about the amount of historical data available for a specific Metric, please contact our Support Team at [email protected]

Pro Tip: Once your Facebook Pages Data Source is connected and actively syncing data, we store the data that's collected in our own database. This allows us to accumulate more data over time as more data syncs are made so that you can report on more historical Facebook Pages data in your Databox reports. Learn more here

Metric Considerations

  • "Page Reach:" The "Page Reach" Metric in Databox may differ from "Page Reach" you see in Facebook directly. Learn why here
  • "Total Page Fans by Country:" The "Total Page Fans by Country" Metric doesn't necessarily equal the sum of all Dimensions included in the "Total Page Fans" Metric. This is due to a variety of factors, including your Page Fans not having their home country set or publicly accessible.
  • "Post" Metrics: For Posts Published Metrics, the most recent 500 posts by publish date are synced with Databox.

API Limitations

  • If your main Facebook Page contains several sub-pages, Facebook's API will randomly connect to one of the sub-Pages that you have access to. It is not currently possible to manually select which sub-Page to connect.
