The First day of the week setting defines how Databox calculates weekly date ranges and groups data when using weekly granularity. Different countries and cultures follow different week conventions, and many companies adopt their own reporting standards. Aligning this setting with your regional norms or internal reporting structure ensures your weekly reports remain consistent across teams and data sources.
By default, Sunday is set as the first day of the week. This means weekly date ranges and weekly granularities run from Sunday through Saturday unless you update this setting.
To change the first day of the week:
- Go to Account Management > Company information.
- Under Account settings, locate First day of the week.
- Select your preferred starting day.
- Click Yes, change in the confirmation prompt.
Before updating this setting, review the following:
- Weekly date ranges (for example, “This week” or “Last week”) will follow the selected starting day.
- Metrics displayed using weeklygranularity will be recalculated based on the new week structure.
- Some data sources provide predefined weekly values. If their week definition differs from your account setting, totals may not align.
- Some metrics have granularity limitations and only support specific time groupings. These limitations are listed in the Metric Library.
