How to verify Net New Active List Contacts in Databox vs HubSpot

This document outlines how to verify the Data Choice: Net New Active List Members from Databox's Query Builder for HubSpot Marketing (Active Lists). To do this, we'll walk through an example in order to verify Net New Active List Members for the Active List called "Premier Partners (ALL)" and the Date Range: Last Month.

Within Databox, the Custom Metric is set up as follows:

We can then pull the Custom Metric onto a Databoard to see the total Net New Active List Members for Last Month (October).

1
In HubSpot, navigate to Contacts > Lists
2
Once you find the Active List you're focusing on, click More > View list performance
3
On the graph called List size over time, set the Date range to match the Date Range you're viewing in Databox
4
When you hover over the graph, you can see daily Active List member values. This is what's being synced with Databox
5
To calculate Net New Active List Members, subtract the Count of Contacts on the first day of the Date Range from the Count of Contacts on the last day of the Date Range
6
When you hover over the graph, you can see daily Active List member values. This is what's being synced with Databox

For our example, we would do 59 - 56 = 3 Net New Active List Members Last Month. This matches what we see within Databox, so we were successfully be able to verify the New Active List Members value in Databox vs HubSpot.
