In Databox, let's say we're reporting on the number of Emails Sent in June compared to Emails Sent in May (previous period). There are 30 days in June and 31 days in May. 

From June 1st - 30th, we have 65,197 Emails Sent. 
From May 1st - 31st, we have 131,140 Emails Sent. 

In Databox, we will see the comparison of all of June vs all of May. This is calculated through the following equation: 

[(Email Sent in May - Emails Sent in June) / Emails Sent in May] * 100 = 

[(131,140 - 65,197) / 131,140] * 100 = 50.28%

Therefore, in Databox the comparison percentage for May vs June Emails Sent will show that performance in June is down 50.28% as compared to performance in May. 

How to calculate the percentage change in HubSpot

In HubSpot, let's say we're reporting on the number of Emails Sent in June compared to Emails Sent in May (previous period). There are 30 days in June and 31 days in May. 

In HubSpot, we will see the comparison of all of June vs the last 30 days of May (May 2nd through May 31st). HubSpot sets this, so there are the same number of days in the current period (June) as there are in the previous period (May). 

From June 1st - 30th, we have 65,197 Emails Sent. 
From May 2nd - 31st, we have 121,197 Emails Sent. 

In HubSpot, the comparison percentage for May vs June Emails Sent will be calculated through the following equation: 

[(Email Sent May 2nd through 31st - Emails Sent in June) / Emails Sent May 2nd through 31st] * 100 = 

[(121,184 - 65,197) / 121,184] * 100 = 46.2%

Therefore, in HubSpot the comparison percentage for May vs June Emails Sent will show that performance in June is down 46.2% as compared to performance in May.
