Let's say we want to report on "Sessions by Variant" from Google Optimize.

1
Navigate to Metrics  > Custom Metrics and click + New Custom Metric button
2
Select your Google Analytics Account from the Data Source drop-down list
3
From the Metric drop-down list, we'll select Sessions
4
From the Dimensions drop-down list, we'll select Experiment ID
5

In order to accurately explain this Metric, we'll name it "Sessions by Variant (Google Optimize)"

6
Click  Preview Data to generate a Data Preview of the Custom Metric
7
Once we confirm that these are the results we're looking for, we'll click  Save to save the Custom Metric.
